Howdy,

My 2500 sub didn't have factory cruise, but I'm going to be taking a long trip next month, and looking at options.

Whitney and Advance both list an Audiovox unit with dashmount controls for about $115. Looks like a vacuum servo style like the factory unit.

They claim adapters are available that allow you to do OEM style controls on the turn signal stalk.

Anyone here have any experience with these units, good or bad?

Is there a better unit I should look at?

TIA,

Check this out:

If You're lucky this also applies to Your '91, but
maybe it came at the same time as 6.5. Anyway it's
worth to check if some units are factory installed
in Your car.

I have had a audiovox on my 87 Suburban for a couple years. The cheapest one they make. Works great. Use the vacuum from your Vac. pump and put in the dirveshaft magnet pickup. Just follow the directions. I was even able to adapt it to the turn signal cruse switch so I didn't have any other switches on the dash. It will realy spoil you.

Good luck SteveMc
