Has anyone try degreeing the cam, I thought someone tried it and used offset woodruff keys for a big block chevy. I tried to search, but I couldn't find anything. I'm going to be getting the dsg timing gears, has anyone tried to advanced the cam timing for more power?? Also has anyone looked into how far the gears for the injection pump is off by??
Thanks

The gears take care of the advance, if memory serves it's something like 2-4* - but don't quote me. The nice thing about the 6.2/6.5 is there's really not much that has to be done to improve on the camshaft design, except the lift and Dr. Lee wrote about Crane Cam's work in that regard.
You'll love the gears, but be prepared to retard your inj. pump timing (if necessary) to compensate for the lack of factory chain slop :D .
The gears are supposedly 2.5 degrees advanced, which I'd assume also advances the pump 2.5 degrees since the pump gear is direct drive off the cam.
I'll be doing a chain soon (150,000 miles) as a maintenance item, I'm going to look into matching an offset key and doing the 2 degree advance using a OEM timing set.
