I'm converting a 90 gasser to 6.2J. I've got AC, 700R4 and hope add a turbo. Am I going to need a vacuum pump? Thanks.

If you have a vacuum brake servo and vacuum operated HVAC controls, then the answer is yes. A hydroboost brake servo unit running off the power steering, removes one vacuum dependency. Check your ventilation controls to see if they need vacuum - I'm pretty sure they would in 1990 truck.

i know my 92 has electric hvac controls and if its the new body style i believe they do too so you could skip the vac pump if you have the hydra vac for the brakes.

Thanks guys. I should have included the truck is a 2500. I've got a donor vehicle and will switch the brakes to hydro-boost. The donor truck was a C motor with a vacuum pump but I'm putting a J intake on. I didn't see any need for the vacuum pump but didn't know if you need one with a turbo.

Only if you fit the stock 6.5LTD turbo and want to control it with the computer which uses solenoids to modulate the vacuum to the wastegate. On the stock 6.5LTD, the vacuum wastegate control can be bypassed with a Heath Diesel Turbo Master.
