Poor fuel mileage

I have a 90' GMC 6.2L 3:73 gears standard 235/75/15 tires.....fuel milage around 10-12mpg engine runs strong (150k) any suggestions where to look to improve mpg?

Check the timing chain wear and make sure the engine is correctly timed. Check for dragging brakes and bearings, front wheel alignment and anything else that may consume horsepower unnecessarily.
