My memory is either playing tricks on me or I just didn't search for this in the right way or place. Somewhere on this forum I remember someone mentioning a 9-blade cw rotation fan supposedly made by GM and used by Chrysler that was adaptable to our v-belt engines. If any body has info on this, I would be very interested as I need another fan for the upcoming install of my re-ringed 6.2 in the CC. Some dingleberry installed a small flex-a-lite fan on it prior to my buying it. I refuse to reinstall it due to the mass this engine has to lug around.

TIA

It is a 7-blade 20" cw rotation fan, made by, but never offered by, GM - optional, with the HD towing package in the 440 vehicles and motorhomes in the Chrysler lineup.
Came on a Delco fan clutch, for smaller waterpump shaft, so fits any 70's-'80's GM fan clutch.

That info is in this forum, back about summer last year, under mine or dieselboy's thread(s).

When I went to the Crysler counter, I gave him the information that JD had provided. Here's what he gave me:

1975 New Yorker with the 400 or 440 and the "maximum cooling option" had a seven blade fan - pn:4117084

Sorry to differ but GM offered a 7 blade fan in 1982 for the 6.2 with the Trailer Package 282. Part number 14033960. It was 520.7MM in Diameter. I have one on my truck.

Well, then, I suppose I'll just try what I've got then. Today I went to the junkyard and found a 7-blade fan out of a '75 Suburban for $5.00. Figured I could hardly go wrong for that price. The blades are a little smaller than on my 5-blde fan that was on the C-code 6.2... we shall see!

Thanks for the replies.
