top radiator hose pulling shut

What would cause the top radiator hose to pull itself shut as my '87 6.2 cools down.

Weak hose, but most likely a bad pressure cap. Does the hose shrink up if you remove the radiator cap (when cool enough of course).

The hose expands when the cap is removed. I've noticed this for a couple of years. The cap has been replaced, but I honestly don't remember if I replaced the hoses when I replaced the radiator a couple of years ago. Although the hose is crack free, it could be weak. I didn't think about that.
