If I use the upgraded parts? My truck uses the serpentine belt setup

Will a fan clutch for a '97 6.5L fit my 6.2 water pump?

It won't just bolt right up. You'll have to change to the 97+ water pump in order to mount the fan clutch that fits that fan. The 97+ waster pump is high flow, and you need the dual stats to go with it.

Thanks. I believe that I will pass on this mod. That is a little more than I want to get in to.

All that, and it's way overpriced.

Incidentally, I've found my 5 blade fan to be adequate when used with my 110 gpm Pen Diesel pump even when towing. I say be patient, go serpentine, then hop on the Dmax fan bandwagon.

I'm not really having any cooling trouble. I use my truck more as a car than a truck. I just wanted the fancier fan.
