rear main seal

I'm getting ready to replace the rear main seal on my '85 Sub with '90 "J" engine. It has, I believe the 2-piece seal. Is a specific part number(either OEM or aftermarket)been found to be the best?

I'd be interested in any thoughts or shared experiences on this.

I replaced my rear main around Christmas with NAPA's 2 piece seal. It went good and hasn't leaked since. I offset the seal with bearing cap. Seems I heard that somewhere. The rope seal in there looked pretty good and came out easy. Others have had problems with it though. I used Black permetex high temp on the oil pan. The worst part was I was kinda in a hurry to get done so I couldn't wait as long as I'd have liked to to let the oil dip after poulling the pan so I was pretty well coated with oil when I was done.
