Can anyone tell me what the normal resistance is supposed to be on individual glow plugs? I tested each glow plug to ground and all plugs read between 1.8-2.2 ohms on the 20 ohm scale. I have a cucv and as far as I know it has the original glow plugs. I know I have seen the correct parameter on here but I can't seem to find it now. Also, if anyone has installed a manual bypass on a military style glow plug controller I could use some help. I also have a new style controller, but haven't figured out how to install it in a military glow system. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Mine have 15k miles on them. They are all 2 to 4 ohms.
Do you have 12v or 24v system? Not sure about the 24v system.

I tested each one of my 60Gs, and they all were between 0.9 and 1.1 Ohms.

The military CUCVs use 12v glowplugs (10-15v in actuality), I believe the Hummers actually have a 24v glow plug system. I'm using 60Gs and seeing the same resistance as DieselBoy, which means they're in good shape. Anything above 4-5 ohms is an indicator that the glow plug is nearing the end of it's life, infinity means its had it!

Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. I think I am going to put 60gs in since I have them.
