On my 93 Hummer's 6.2L, the fan clutch never kicks on, although I have never had a problem cooling. It runs a rock solid 190, maybe 185 on the coldest winter day and 195 on the hottest summer day, but the other 95% of the time it stays on 190.
Should I hear/feel the clutch kick in? Other Hummer owners say they can definitely hear and feel it.
Does anyone offer an upgrade? I know Kennedy sells some high performance fan upgrades including clutches, but do any of them fit a 6.2?
I have the plastic fan that is notorious for breaking when plunging into deep water at high speeds, so I would like to change it out to a steel fan, preferably one that is more efficient than the stock Hummer fan.
