Location of the temp guage sender?

While I have my 86 diesel van apart to fix the oil pressure sender, I would like to fix the coolant temp guage too.
So where is the temp gauage sender on the 6.2L?

On my pickup it's on the front of the left head. Hope this helps. Also there are two different thread sizes listed. Needless to say I got the wrong one the first time. Took about a minute to change, unfortunately I think my guage is bad, because it still doesn't work. May be a connection, just haven't had time to look yet.

oil pressure and now temp sender i think maybe you have a bad dash ground killing both of them. they are very particular about there grounds with all the plastic nowadays.
