Because of the castings (cracks rear main jornal) on the 6.2 motor, I been told that GM has commissioned a company by the name of Franklin to cast a new desine with heaver bearing journals for a replacement block for the 6.2 /6.5's that are already out there in the world. Can anyone add to this information.

I stand corrected after doing a little home work I have found that this replacement engine was introduced back in 02 and It's a replacement engine in the Hummer. This engine is a new design
with larger bearing webs. Can anyone add to this?
