I can't seem to find the fuel/power curves for the gm diesels. The closest thing I can find is published on banks site for hp/torque for comparison with and without their turbo.

I started a thread on the 6.5 site asking why 6.5's get such bad mileage vs. 6.2's. What I'm looking for is pounds fuel /hp /hr. throughout the rpm range.

There should be a curve for the 135,155,160, and 165 hp 6.2's and the same thing for the various hp's. of 6.5.

If I could just find the "j" code 155hp, and the 215hp 6.5 info -- that would be enough to make some comparisons. (It would also illuminate some of the rpm specific conversations in relation to mpg as well.)

I, too, would like to have the specific fuel consumption maps for our diesel engines, but if anyone has ever determined them (including GM) I have not come across them.

Think jamie would be willing to put one on a dyno and map out fuel/hp/torque?

Or any of the gov't folks have the 6.2l HMMV maps? (It's gov't, they have to have one.....)

I dont know of anybody who records brake specifics at anything other than full throttle. So trying to figure fuel mileage is going to be tough.
