Sorry for the stupid question but...
I have seen reference on this site to scrapping the air silencer assembly for a section of 4 inch hose. What kind of hose is being used and where do you get it??

I bought my 4" hose from THE MCMASTER CARR CATALOG (http://www.mcmaster.com/) . They have lots of selections. I picked the red silicone-covered hose. Once you price the minimum purchase, come back to this forum and ask about the 36" long piece I can sell to you. I also have 24" of the cheaper black neoprene-covered hose if you can use something that short.
Others have used 4" dryer vent hose from Lowe's or similar stores. The flexible aluminum ductwork can look pretty cool in the right engine compartment.
