Ebay 2482029396 88 Suburban dually 3-53 Detroit and 5 spd
OK, so that's as unique as my 6at jeep cj, or my dad's perkins 354 '74 international. My wife won't ride in either one....
But, you just can't deny cummins power....

Yup... that's a 4 popper! JeepSJ would be jealous. And the world's fastest pickup.... the 5.9 cummins.... In diesel drag racing, they take 80psi of boost without breaking a sweat. The 6.2's have their place, and I really like mine. The 6.2 has been the butt of diesel jokes since it's (unfair) comparison to the 5.7 olds diesel. In stock trim, it makes half the power, half the noise, and much better fuel mileage than a cummins 5.9. As many in this page correctly point out -- modified it is even better. As my 100% rust free '85 burb is tagged RIG4FAM, it is what it is, a good engine for the family lumber wagon.
THAT is cool. He needs to add the dually fenders and run dual wheels in the back.
