Got a complete 700r4 including tv bracket, converter and cable from a rusted out 89burb with 'c' code motor. I have an 85 j code. I'm putting the 700r4 inplace of the th400 for overdrive (I have 4.1 gears)
My question is how does the #@$#@$ thing hook up? I see where the cable is supposed to clip on the throttle assembly, but I can't see where in the valley the bracket bolts to. I saw a post about a rod? Does this bolt toward the back of the engine in the valley and have an extension rod up to the throttle? Do I have to remove the intake to bolt this in place? Any online diagram of how this hooks up?
