has anyone got any tips for replacement of the fusible link for the starter solinoid?
After you've found the bad one, cut it off and replace it with another one. It's important that your new fusible link be the same size (diameter) and length as your old one. It might be easier if you remove the starter so you have better access.
If you've got the know-how, I suggest installing a ford starter solenoid in the engine compartment to switch the starter and wire your fusible links to the ford solenoid. This way they are easier to get to and there's no question of your solenoid getting enough power to engage the starter.
