View Full Version : Oil gallery tapping
Is there any oil gallery tapping along the RHS of these engines? I am installing a bypass oil filteration kit and if I could get a tapping in this area it would keep pipe runs short. I am looking at returning oil through an adapter plate where the fuel lift pump would normally be (I have an electric pump)

Unfortunately, GM didn't put any oil taps on the passenger side of the block until the 6.5L turbo engine came out. For us early 6.2L guys, the only oil sources are on the top rear of the engine valley where the oil pressure sending unit is, and on the left hand side by the oil filter, above the oil cooler line ports.

Just my luck. Are the tappings behind the engine mounts water then?
Check my pics it shows the fuel block I used as a manifold for oil pressure fittings,no reason you couldn't run a by-pass off of it.
