3"\150mm should provide minimum restriction, remembering any leak here is POST filter.
Ensure absolute sealing at all joints.

3" sound fair I think you mend 76 mm. I just received the filter unit, the outlet is 4" so I will work out what to do maybe a reducer to 3"

76mm it is - numbers are my nemesis.

4" ducting would be better sized if you can find space for it, but 3" minimum.

I had bought the filter, planning to duct the inlet to the bulkhead holes for the original oem ducting.
Forward movement would then pressurize the filter.

Filter size and that location interfered with ducting for planned charge-air cooler, so I changed air filter plans.
