1989 Ford L8000 with inline 6 turbo diesel

Anyone familiar with this engine? It has a mechanical pump - wondering if there is a simple way to turn the fuel and boost up slightly to get a little MORE POWER.

Pretty sure that's gonna be a Cummins 8.3 - should be a sticker on the timing cover, driver's side.

Same physical size as 5.9, but with big cast accessory fitments.
