I am very new to the 6.2 ... just bought a turbo for my 6.2 for $800cdn today. It came with all the fixings (turbo, exhaust man. crossover pipe, oil hose, etc.) including a exhaust temp gauge and boost guage ... can't wait to get it installed smile.gif I currently have a 83' "C" 6.2. I am wondering what intake manifold came with the turbo. There is a casting number 14071075 on it. It appears to have frost type plugs on the side where I think the EGR would go. I suppose I could look at my 6.2 but it's 1hr away at a storage unit.
Can anyone help me determine if this is a "J" intake
Welcome to the 6.2 world smile.gif
Very soon, the pros here will chime in and help.
Until then, my little help may send you in the right direction.
A look at Dieselboys pictures

may help.
I never looked that close on a C-intake, but I think the two holes you are referring to are for the crankcase depression regulator (CDR).

A C code intake has a place in the centre of the intake for an egr valve (under your air cleaner) where as a J code has only the two intake holes, no provision for an EGR. You want to use a J code if you can.

Thanks guy ... I took a look at my 83' Jimmy and determined that I got a "J" manifold with the banks turbo. The "C" manifold has hoses coming out of the locations that are blocked off on the new intake.

Update: At least I thought I got a banks tubo. But it's ATS Turbo
