Well, Just about finished with the rebuild and guess what! When cleaning the junk off the cylinder heads with a rotolock disk on a die grinder... I noticed that I have one pre cup that has a crack that extends allmost to the head gasket fire ring line.... BAD! This engine is a very early 82 model that appears to have stainless steel pre cups. All are in great shape except for this one! Where can you get them at? I have had no luck with local parts suppliers... any suggestions on where to look/buy?
P.S. I fixed the valve bridge cracks on the end cylinders of the heads using, the K-Line 3900 crack repair kit... VERY GOOD KIT, EASY TO DO... just dont leave any of the locktight retaining compound used in the kit on the brush between uses!!! it gets rock hard in about 5 min... making the brush usless! :(
