One of our members, Brian Gray, has owned a 6.2L MH for a good many years. He eventually upgraded to a turbo, soon after attending our first Rendezvous in 1999.
I can forward an email to him if you'd like.

We have a 1982 Winnebago 22 Ft. And have driven to Alaska twice in the past 5 years. Average about 11 MPG. We pulled a Tracker last trip but found that it's really not enough power for the inclines, but great on the flat ground. Mine has a Red block and is the Heavy Duty engine.

Thanks-
What tranny do you have & final gear ratio?

The axle ratio is 4:56. The onan gen is propane.
I have two regulators on the propane tank. One for the house and one for the gen. Both are two stage. Also check the regulator next to the gen. Mine had some loose screws in the housing, made starting the gen difficult. Check the ground strap tying the frame and engine together, as some rust can form and slow electron flow to the starter. I have seen one other 6.2L motorhome. Rare bears.
Happy new year, Bob

I have been wondering how the 6.2 wuld do in a "c" motorhome. Is yours a class A or C? I have even thought about getting an older one, a class C, and converting it to a 6.2. Any thoughts on that? Thanks

I have an '83 23foot Allegro class A with 6.2 and banks turbo. Good RV 10-12 mpg.

My Winnebago is a class-A. It has the rear bedroom and will sleep 6 friendly family members.
Is the tranny stressed by having a turbo on a rv? There is lots of weight and wind resistance and not the best air flow thru the radiator.
I have a 1983 Nu-Wa 23' class C with the 6.2. I get about 11 mpg. What speed do you run at? I run between 55 & 60. Mine runs warm if you try to run 65 and runs hot on steep hills. You need to drop back to 40 to 45 and turn on the heat to get over the steep hill on I-68 in western Maryland.
