Vacuum pump or pod?

My 6.2 is not making any vacuum and I'm tired of it shifting hard all the time. ;)

Anyway, I verified its the pump and not a leak, but just about fainted when I saw the price for a new one.

Is just swapping the Pod (I'm assuming thats the head with the diaphram) enough, or do the shafts or something else wear out?

This pump will be swapped over to the 6.5 I'm going to rebuild, so I plan on having it a while...

yes you can change just the diaphragm.and you can buy just them but i can't remember what they were for.

I picked one up off ebay for $25, works great. you can find near new ones there also. Good Luck. John

I bought a new pod, I think, from Diesel Injection Service. Mine was spirting oil!
