I am finally going to use the Rotunda timing meter I bought from Britannic, but first I just realized that my book is only for a 85 6.2 I don't know if those specs will apply to my Diesel Depot Reman, its a 94 engine from a Frito Lay Truck I assume its the same as a 3500 series truck specification wise.
I need the idle RPM and timing specs that should apply to this engine.
It hammers rather loud when cold so it could be slightly advanced, at least I hope thats it, I have heard some 6.2 trucks from about that age and they don't hammer nearly as loud as mine.
Thanks to any and all who reply to this post.
BTY its the exact engine as Dr. Lee with the exception of a stinkiiiiing turbo, He He.

Does your engine have a DB2 or the the DS4 IP pump?

My engine is a Diesel Depot 599 block honed out to 6.5 specs 4911 pump and a Banks turbo,6.5 injectors and turbo pre-cups.
Sucker really hammers when cold and not exactly quiet at temp.
Starts instantly within 1-2 revolutions or less.
Don't know if it smokes its kinda hard to watch out the right mirror and where you'r going at the same time :D Merle

The easiest way I have found to see how much smoke out of the tailpipe is at night in traffic. I hammer it when a vehicle is fairly close behind. You can see how much smoke in the rear view mirror. I don't see any in the daylight, but I sure can at night.
