Good 6.2 mechanic in the West TN area.

I am looking for anyone that is a good diesel mechanic in the Memphis, TN area. I don't mind driving a bit (couple hundred miles) to get to a good mechanic.


Nothing major to fix, would just like for the ole motor to be checked out and tuned up.

Really? I bought my 04 GMC from Glen Sain GMC over in Rector, Ark, so I passed through there not long ago. Do they have much experience with 6.2's? Have they worked on yours? Thanks!

Yes, they redid the heads and changed the head gaskets on a 1985 Chev 6.2L for me a couple of years ago. It held up real well for me over a year and then I sold it. Last I heard it is still running. I found out last week that their going rate is $45 an hour.

McMahon's garage is directly across the street from the Glen Sain GMC lot here in Kennett. There is also a truck accessories store next door to McMahon's that you might want to check out.

No, this is still the old building on the main drag. The new building is going up on the north side of town.

Oh ok. I don't really remember seeing the GMC place, unless it was in the same building as Glenn Sain Chevrolet. I remember seeing it.
