I have an engine temperature gauge that has quit working. When I turn the key, the gauge moves down slightly but then never moves from there. Tried to get to the gauge itself, but what a pain. Where would I find the sensor in the motor to check if that is working? I installed a banks turbo last year and have been working on solving the overheating problem. Now I can't tell the engine temperature. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The sender is toward the front of the driver's side head. has one wire going to it. The connector clips over a button like connection. If I remember right a ohm check should give you some resistance, but not infinity. If you can do it right after cold start up and again after the engine is warm, youshould see some difference in the resistance. The check would be from the "button" to ground just in case anybody reading this needs to know.
