What is the correct grade of oil for a Gear Vendors overdrive transmission. Unable to get answers from the manufacturer.
Gear Vendors said GM 1234-6190, a 75/85 wt synthetic (for manual transmission with no additives). Stated 34/35 oz to fill.

Good Day!
My foggy memory says that you can use any normal viscosity (75W-90, etc.) gear lube, synthetic or non-synthetic, but DON'T USE ANYTHING WITH "EP" (extreme pressure) in its description. I think EP lubes contain molybdenim disulfide (there's NO WAY I got that spelled right), or moly, which is a big no-no with our Gear Vendor Aux. OD's.
I'll once again count on our experts to clarify the truth (& my foggy memory :( .)
Blessings!
