I'd be interested to see how this worked on one of our engines.

Too much guesstimation for me, but it may be a language thing.

Obviously a lot depends on the trim of the pinwheels, but the 14cm2 housing has proven optimal on the Cummins 6BT upto 450HP. 12cm2 housings do quite well too, but EGTs can be a problem in the upper rpm band under load with additional fueling.
This turbo would probably be OK on the 6.2/6.5L.
FYI: I'm going to use a non-wastegated 14cm2 on my PDR triple balance Holset HX35 turbo. Average boost (post intercooler) under heavy acceleration will be in the 38-45psi range, with best efficiency just under 40psi.
The Cummins in stock form, will handle upto 45psi boost, but heat and additional fuel can tip the balance.
Just doing some photographic comparisons for R&D, I noted the turbine snail is sized for a 2 ~ 3 liter (Litre) engine - much smaller than the GM-X series, sized for 250 ~ 300cuin (est) engines.
The compressor is T4, with approx 50mm inlet dia, close in sizing to the GM-X, which he states is TE08.
Now, if I could see the TE06H turbine with T3 flange in 3 views, with a scale across the outlet, it would be most helpful.
I'm looking for 20 ~ 25psi max, which I can see on the GM-X, but with much less than 40psi EBP.
I think the head-clamping system would be max-taxed at that level of boost, not to mention the block and rotating assy in the pre-AMG engines.
Thoughts?
that t3 to t4 adapter for the exhaust is an interesting piece that I've never seen before. And who in their right mind would be bidding that turbo up that much????????

The turbo should work fine, according to the numbers. The 6.5L engine is twice the size of the 3L gasser, yes. But, the 6.5L's redline and torque range is half that of the gasser. It comes down to CFM, not CID. But you already knew that.

It must have "Type R" printed on it somewhere.
$910
USD's or Yen???
Problem is - we got a T3 snail which is too small for 400cuin above 12psi.
The snail is fairly broad cross-section in the nozzle area.
That appears to be a T2 snail on a T3 flange with a T4 compressor.
The snail is very narrow cross-section, drastically squeezing exh gas to get velocity from low flows, something we do not need, right?
Seems like Mitsu numbers are twice Standard - TE06 is T3, TE08 is T4, with that compressor size listed as 14cm2.
The snail looks like 10-11cm2, listed as TD05.
