My son is on a bus to Michigan to pick-up his new `86 Military Blazer.He`ll be driving it back to Maryland.He found it while visiting his girlfriend who is there on a job assignment.Once he asked me"aboat"it(sorry),I came across a cherry one within 10mi.from my home.He felt obligated since the deal had been struck(probably wanted to see his girlfriend somemore,too).Although the one near us is mint for $7,000,He liked the $4,500 price-tag and the chance to work&learn on it himself.Can someone loan me $7,000?PLEASE?!!!

A new twist.My son is coming back from Mich w/o the M1009.The seller isn`t standing behind his deal and wants more than the negotiated price.Meanwhile,just for kicks,I talked to the local M1009 seller and got him down to $6,000.So when Jason(my son)called wondering how to handle his deal in Mich.,I said tell him to shove his rust bucket and get back here to buy a better rig(that is MD inspected,also).The guy said other people were willing to pay his original price($5500),although he had accepted a $500 deposit and didn`t call him before making the trip.I called the guy to inform him not to even think of not refunding the deposit,or I`d come up there and kick his crooked a-s all the way to Saskatchuan.Jason has the deposit,learned a hard lesson,and proved he was a better man.

The`86M1009 is in the driveway.It is sweeet.The cleanest one I`ve seen,58,000mi.and unrestored.Wish it was mine,though.
