I have got a ATS Turbo and manifold ... it has some kind of molding in the middle of it that might restrict airflow. Should I use it or put a "J" intake on?

Hi
I have an ATS system sitting in my shop. They have a intake housing that sits on top of the GM intake. It's function alows you to use the original air cleaner. It fits between them, sucking air to the turbo thru the top,and pushing it thru the bottom to your original intake.
I'm sure the less restricions the better so use a J intake if you have it.

I would say if you have a J intake use it, but the C manifold would not cause a noticable restriction due to the fact that the air is pressureized at that point and the restriction will be minimal

What is this ATS intake you are talking about? Is it made for pre-88 6.2s adding turbo power like Banks?
