rebuild or new?

I was planning on rebuilding my 6.2, but not knowing what the condition my block and heads are in, I started looking for other options. I found a possibility on a GM parts supplier web site. Part no. 12369010, L65 (6.5F) Factory replacement for 92-95 for $2400. It doesn't mentions a core charge. My intentions were to start with a turbo set up from a 6.5 and adapt it to my 6.2. Any opinions?

Seems a little cheap for a replacement engine.

That's what I thought, especially a GM Goodwrench engine. It looks like it is just a long block with heads. No IP, or injectors etc... I found it at [URL=http://www.paceparts.com] , a GM dealer in Youngstown, OH. Tell me what you think.

It seems to be a new replacement engine.
But all the other engines are like 5 to 6000$
I would call them and ask if the price is correct.
If it is and the application is OK, I would buy one.
May be it's surplus stock?
