Change 6.2 harmonic balancer???

Just bought a 93 K1500 with 6.2 diesel. Engine has never been touched other than pump, injectors and glowplugs. Uses no oil, starts and runs great-I love it!! With approximately 250-280k on the dial, should I consider replacing harmonic balancer and the pulley or?? as routine maintenance? I don't want to spend a bunch of money that I do not need, but many of the 6.2s seem to break cranks at about 250k. TIA

for preventative maintenance sake i would pull the balancer and while off pull front cover,replace timing chain and waterpump while your at it.might cost a little but will be worth it in the long run,you don't want to be screwing up that truck 93 was the last good year in my opinion.
