My '93 GMC K2500 6.5L TD has occasionally been shifting hard. Shut off engine and restart and it would be fine. It has progressively gotten worse so I took in to the shop on Friday. They pulled code 22 - TPS Voltage Low. When running diagnostic the TPS shows NO output voltage. Shop said TPS needs replaced. I have one coming and will install it this week when it arrives.
The question is: Does the TPS require any calibration and, if so, how is it accomplished. Or is this a simple 'unbolt the old - bolt in the new'?
Any help is appreciated.
