Timing Gear Removal

I am in the middle of removing my timing gears and chain to make way for a dual idler and cannot get the bottom gear off the cranshaft. Is there a secret or trick to this. Thanks in advance, I know someone out there knows.

sometimes they stick pretty good i usually use a 2 jawed puller make sure you have the pilot for the front of the crank to save the threads
