Anyone have the wheel alignment specs for a 1985 Chevy suburban K20 4X4??
Are you looking for 'shadetree' alignment specs? If so, toe is the only thing you can set and it needs to be 0" to 1/16th" closer at the front edge of the tire vs the rear edge of the tire. Caster is set, and unless you've lifted it, should be around 7degrees. If camber is off, you have a bent front axle. With solid front and rear axle's you 'should' never need an alignment. Jeeps get "death wobble" all the time, as cheap lift kits typically reduce caster to 0. Caster is what helps 'returns to center' the steering wheel, some people actually run up to 15 degrees caster.
Why? you have a front end shake? If so, check pitman arm, chevy's are famous for loose steering due to the splines on the pitman arm wearing. It's either that or loose ball-joints.
Was throwing papers away and ran into an alignment sheet for my 3/4 burb.
Allowable measurements in degrees:
camber -.25 -- +.75
caster +1 -- +2
Toe In .13 -- .25
Cross camber and cross caster not specified
Total Toe .26 -- .50
