well the rebuilt 6.5 is ready to go back into the truck, the 4l80 and 241 are done so how and where should the exhuast pipe go. This is for a 85 K5 blazer. I have a 3" kit from heath diesel. Anyone have this figured out already?

Cheers,

You're going to get to do some adapting from the sound of it.

Question for you:

That NP241, which side does the output from the transfercase going to the front axle come out on?

The 208 Case that was originaly in the CUCV had the outputshaft that came out on the passenger's side. I'm thinking the 241 is just the opposite, because it works on IFS trucks.

As far as the 6.5 Turbo stuff, you might or might not be able to use the downpipe like it is, it may need to be worked over. The crossover pipe will work fine though, if you're using the 6.5TD oil cooler lines and matching 6.5 Driver's side exhaust manifold.

Drop the ".thumb" from you image link and it'll work.

If you have a period "." at the end of the link, they won't work, either.

John, im using a passenger side drop 241 they came in 89(mechanical speedo), and 90/91(VSS) burbs and blazers.

TB1, what kind of lift are you using? does it give a full 4" of lift? i was almost certain i was going to get away with a standard cross over pipe. oh well at this point its only money.... Did you run the exhaust between the frame and the transfer case further back or are there clearence issues there to? Thaks for the replies and pictures.

For the down pipe it went down through the frame and ran along the frame rail past the T-Case it is a tight fit I might have to heat up the pipe and put a small dent in it just for that little extra clearance. For the lift I traded some used 4" lift spring from a small block and had one extra leaf added and new rear springs with two inch lift blocks overall I think it is closer to 5" but that cross over would not work for me at all. Here is a link to my pics of the truck I will add some more of the exhaust later today.
