I bought a lot of stuff from a military vehicle. It had 6.2 and I am putting it in my K5. I got some stuff with it I want to know more of (was on the inner fender).

First, here is the vehicle:

This vehicle was used to tow airplanes.

1: This is a fuel pump. It also has a mech fuel pump. I was guessing it was a lift pump. Should I use it?

2: I dont have a clue what this black box is. There is a plug on the harness for it so I am going to plug it in.

This vehicle had lot of heating devices. Next photos are off some off that stuff.

3: Photo 3 (http://www.f4x4.is/new/photoalbum/?file=cars/3734/24729)

4: This is probably a power sourche.

5: I think this is to heat the coolant.

It would be great if anybody could tell me something about it.

Thanks, Jon H.

Jon - #1 First I thought that was a tank Heater - but then you have #5 - so if the wiring is for 12v, then it could be a fuel pump (?) Big fuel lines, cleaned up - it might even work....

#2 - No clue on the black Box

#3 - Looks like another aux water heater - can you track the plumbing in and out of it?

#4 - Could be an Inverter box - 12v to 110 ( or whatever). Looks scary tho' smile.gif

#5 is a Tank Heater - mount vertically, of course ( if it still works ). They're hard to come by over state-side anymore - probably worked too well.

Definately looks like a project vehicle - good luck.

Thanks for the help. I also asked at ColoradoK5 and this answear and the answear over there are the pusles that I wanted.

I think I know what everything but the black box is.

1) Is a fuel pump, I will try to clean it up and see if it still works smile.gif

2) Still a mistery

3) According to CK5: Little Giant pump. Commonly used for solvent tanks and backyard landscaping waterfalls. Suspect it was used to circulate coolant through the engine to thoroughly warm everything.

4) A power distribution senter

5) The tank heater.

I am going to keep those heating devices in my garage for some time. I have to get the truck on the road before the winter and they are not a priority (I will probably kick my self when its freezing outside...). I also have to change the current because we have 220V over here and those things are for 110V.

Thanks again for the help, now I only have to find out what the little black box is. But I will connect it anyway.

I've driven on of those. It has no suspension, but it does have four way steering - very nice. It should have some very low miles.
