Does anyone know what year GM switched from the flared fittings to the o-ring fittings on the power steering and hydroboost lines?

As far as I know, at least on the steering box/pump, it was around 1980/81. I think it was when they changed the body style, wich would mean they went to the new one in '81. I could be wrong... An auto parts store may be able to help you answer that one...

Yeah, Jeep changed to o-ring in '81 (my '81 CJ and my 87 Wag are both o-ring). The local parts store has a hydroboosy unit that they list for up to 1992 and it has flare fittings. Didn't really make sense, unless all hydroboost are flare. Hmm, maybe I'll have to check out the hoses and see what year they change.
