I'm guessing you meant to say works great!? I am looking for a new/rebuilt tranny and TC. What is the name of the place and phone number? Do they have a website? Thanks. John
The Cummins for Dodge torque converter was made by the same company that made GM torque converters.
The GM D4 T400 converter was for 454 and 6.2 engines. Internals are identical to the lower stall Dodge version, so the upgrade is easy, for a torque converter shop.
Works for me, but requires idling in neutral, to keep fluid temps manageable.

Another benefit of my HotRod 1700 rpm stall converter: less heat generation stopped at idle.
However, mine is NOT the best setup for towing. For that you should use a 1200 rpm stall converter for better efficiency.

Sorry for not responding sooner but I was out of town. The shop is two blocks from Ontario airport. Sierra Torque convertors. (909) 983-4622.

That sounds like a good price for a torque converter. I thought they ran around $200 or so.
Yes it is a good price. Dealer wanted $389. To rich for my wallet.
