Hello,
The 1990 K2500 w/ 6.2 has a broken wiring connector body that plugs into the temprature sender that threads into the thermostat housing. I believe this sender regulates the cold advanance and fast idle of the injection pump. Does anybody out there know the parts #'s for the replacement plastic body of the connector that plugs into this sender? My GM dealer cannot come up with anything. Thanks!

I priced that connector at my favorite Chevy parts counter about a year ago, I think it was about $35.00. They called in to some official GM place to get the PN, and unfortunately, I don't have it.

I wound up getting a generic connector from a local auto parts place that has a display of JT&T electrical stuff for about $5.00. Does an auto parts store near you have a display of electrical connectors by this or another competitive brand?

HA! I should check my own store before looking to outsource my parts needs. If anybody needs this connector, visit your local John Deere dealer. Part #'s : 1) 57M7278 & 2) R104701.

$4.27

(VERY OT)

How about a connector for the cab fan speed control switch on an 8970?

I can't seem to find it on jdparts.com, and the dealer's parts dept. has been unable to come up with one, either!

Bob... I put in a case regarding your question w/ the 8970, and below is the response from the engineers at Waterloo:
*******************************
The mating connector is not a service part. Per Engineering, use just the terminals to attach to the switch.
Thank you
