I found a TEO6H turbo on Ebay - got it and took it to a turbo shop - got a clean bill of health.

However, they were a little concerned by a notch in the leading edge of the compressor blades right where they come closest to the housing. It looks pretty smooth and regular, is this a feature in all of them.

I've tried to enclose a sketch - hope it works.

Jeep SJ, I know you just got a brand new TEO6H - could you look at yours and see if it is similar?

Mine does not have the notch. IIRC, I have seen other turbos with a notch like that. We may just have different revisions. Try sending the sketch to Banks and see what they say.

Alaska Aviator,

I dug out my TE06H turbo also to look (easy because its not installed yet). My turbo doesn't have the notch that you drew either.

Tag reads,

Banks Turbocharger,

Part # 24010
Model # TE06H

Need any other numbers off of it?

Hope this helps some

AA - do a search on Google for "Landcruiser diesel swap". I have stumbled onto several sites while digging up info about my swap.

Alaska A,

I hope to install the turbo sometime this summer, its going on the 86 burb. Right now I can't even play with it as its getting some body work done and a complete paint job. But hopefully sometime this summer. I've got alot of work to do on the rig anyways, like 700r4 to TH400 trans conversion and put some axles underneath it, looking for a Dana60 front right now (yeah needle in a hay stack, just like the turbo). Good luck with your turbo. I can't wait to see what a turbo'ed 6.2 runs like, going to turbo the truck too, just time and $$ right now (and the 6.5 crapped out on me, aww april...) All this on a college students budget...
