I have had a problem with my brakes for awhile and I would like eveyones input.

Several months ago, I replaced some major components of my brake system with the following:

New (not rebuilt) master cylinder
new front pads
new (rebuilt) calipers
new front brake lines
new rear shoes
new (rebuilt) wheel cylinders

At the time of install, I noted a lot of air in the system during the bleeding process,I chalked this up to having the system open for so long. I never got all the air out despite bleeding several quarts of brake fluid through the lines following the normal manual bleeding procedure (RR, LR, RF, LF).

Where could all this air be coming from, I have no leaks that I can see. I have a spongy pedal that is really bugging me.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Tighten up the rear shoes/adjusters, the are often resonsible for the first 1-3 inches of mushy pedal.
