fuel return line

Just getting finished putting my truck back together finally, what kind of line is supposed to hook up to the fuel return line that comes off the pass. side of the engine right above the fuel pump. Is there a line that is supposed to return to the tank? Its been so long i can't remember how it was set up and I can't see anything obvious.

hi
a short piece of 1/4" rubber line from engin returnon pass. side to metel return line in frame. It should very close to the metel line that feeds the lift pump.

found it last night, had it tucked in the frame rail under some stuff, thanks for the reply!
