My 1990 Suburban is leaking fuel. It appears to be leaking from the injector pump. From what I can see it is dripping fuel from the throtle which is next to the pump. When I move the throtle the leak seems to stop until it goes back to its idle position. I know that the leak cannot be coming from the throtle. But I can not find where it is leaking from. The fuel line going into the injector pump does not appear to be leaking. Where could the leak be coming from? It was hard to start this past week maybe air getting into the system? But once it starting it is running well.
Thanks,
The pumps DO leak past the throttle shaft. It's sealed by "O" rings, and the pump body is pressurized to a few PSI.
It's possible to remove the pump cover, undo the throttle shaft, and remove it to replace the "O" rings.
If the throttle shaft bushings are worn to the point new "O" rings won't seal the shaft, bushing replacement is required.

Thanks, for the informatin. I am going to try and replace the O rings this week.
There's a trick to getting the pump cover back on without binding up the governor linkage, causing an overspeed and no shutdown. Be sure you know how to do this. If no one else posts the procedure, I will find a copy of it, if you need it.

If you could post the procedure about this I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
