With all of the questions I have had lately, I thought you guys would like to see what you have been helping me out on. It is pretty much all original except for the headliner and wheels. I wish I had a set of the old "rally" wheels that were on it originally. Here it is:

MDR, that is great looking silicone hose for the air intake -- where did you get it ;) ?

Cool ride.... I am very impressed.
Of course I am partial to '85 3/4 ton suburban's...

Thanks all, the truck is not too bad at all considering it has spent it's whole life here on the beach. I only have two small rust spots (one under each rear window) about the size of a quarter. I need to do something about them soon while they are still surface rust and not rust-through.
The only thing I do not like is the tan center stripe. When I have it re-painted, I think I will go with all red or a silver center stripe. If I do this though, the door jambs will need repainting as well because the stripe is there.
I do not like the window visors either. The previous owner put them on, and I am afraid the old paint will peel off if I remove them.

Yea the silver is cool -- this is a "no rust" california desert vehicle. Guy who originally bought it new had it painted airstream silver and blue to match his camper. He then bought a new camper -- and you know what that means -- A new surburban painted to match.
His new camper -- gave me my new toy. I love it, the only big thing I did was to swap out the th400 for a 700r4, due to the 4.10 gears. RPM's are still a little high, but liveable. My problem is I drive too fast, and in the upper rpm range, 6.2's wheeze out real fast -- I need more air!!!
