Can anyone tell me if a 6.2 block can be used with 6.5 heads. Mine threw a rod right thru the oil pan and hit the starter. I have a rebuilt 6.2 and wondered if this would work. If so which head gaskets do u use 6.2 or 6.5. Also noticed the oil supply for the turbo comes from in front of the psgr side head on the 6.5 but there is no provision for the fitting on the 6.2. I guess I can go to the oil filter mounting plate and use the same fitting that Banks calls for on their installation. Thanks for any info.

what year model 6.5? Turbo or naturally aspirated? if electronic then I certainly wouldn't consider it, although its possible.

Raptor,
Yes, 6.5 heads will bolt right on....
Move the turbo oil return plate from the 6.5 block to the 6.2 block. It'll bolt right on.
To expand on what John mentioned above, if this 6.2 engine is going into an electronically fuel injected truck, you'll also need to move the harmonic damper, aluminum front timing cover, reluctor wheel/crank sprocket from the 6.5 onto the 6.2. They'll bolt right on.
