If you like the sound, this was the right thing to do :D .

The original mufflers were for the 2-1/4" system, and had reverse flow tubes and baffles inside to reduce the noise. Your glasspacks should improve exhaust flow and help your engine breathe. Keep asking questions in this forum as you improve the performance of your truck.

ACTUALY MY MAIN CONCERN IS ECONOMY. RIGHT NOW I'M GETTING ABOUT 14 MPG 4X4 WITH 33" TIRES. IS THIS GOOD OR BAD?

My '82 K10 with 4 speed O/D stick, 3:42 gears and 31" tires gets about 21 MPG mixed driving. I do use synthetics in the drivetrain.

I've got a 4x4 Jimmy 84 with 33" tires the 6.2 got a Banks turbo, I live in LA, CA and I do 17 to 18 mpg IN TOWN. Is your truck smoking?. I just change my injector, they was done by a DP member and I got a big difference, no more black smoke, run quiter and push . A lot of improvement for a little investment.
