Pardon the question, please, but my search of topics failed to yield the answer.
Will performance improve if I remove the egr for off road use? Or, will it harm the engine to remove it? Thanks.

Just like your question, this answer also applies ONLY to off-road use ;) .
You will NOT hurt your engine by cancelling the EGR function. Same for the EPR function, if you have it. Performance capability will also improve because you would no longer be displacing cool, oxygen-bearing air with warm, deoxygenated exhaust. Hence, with more oxygen, you could burn more fuel and make more power.
