I have been putting off replacing a couple of burned out bulbs in my insterment panel because removing the dash is generaly a huge pain in the you know what.
Well, I could not believe how easy it was on my 95 GMC K2500, The front portion of the dash just pulled off without any screws being removed. I just had to put the shifter in 1st gear and unplug a couple of wires and out it came. The insterment panel itself was even easier. Just 4 easily accessable screws and the entire unit just unpluged, leaving me with the entire instrument panel in my hands. The lights are not even wired in. they just twist out and twist the new ones in.
I replaced the Oil cooler lines and the Glow plugs in this truck first because I thought it would easier than messing with the Dash, boy was I wrong.
I just want to say hats off for the GM engineers on that one. :D
